Pediatric and Adult Therapy Services, LLC is owned and managed by Dr. Kimiko M. Pears. Dr. Pears is a native of Mobile, Alabama. She earned a Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Speech-Language Pathology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Pears obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Education of the Deaf from Texas Woman’s University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Pears is a nationally certified speech-language pathologist by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed in the state of Alabama by Alabama Board of Examiners of Speech Language-Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA). Dr. Pears has extensive clinical experience in the public school setting as well as private practice treating both children and adults with a variety of speech, language, feeding and swallowing disorders.
